Belinda and Charles has a relaxing morning of eating at the free breakfast buffet at the hotel and then catching a bus to Lake Ashi to catch the first sailing of the day on the iconic Hakone pirate ship.

We were excited to get to Kyoto, the suite and to see the rest of group so we took a bus back to the train station. Ran and grabbed our bags from the hotel and made it on the early train to Odawara station with just a couple minutes to spare. Next up on the modes of transport was a Shinkansen-bullet train. Belinda made a mistake of booking the fastest route, which meant a transfer at Nagoya station with only 3 min to spare(why they let me buy this, no idea). But luckily we figured out that we could just stay on train we were on as it stopped in Kyoto as well- just 10 min later than the one booked. No issue from the inside the train and no issue as we exited the gates. Whew!
Belinda and Charles made the couple transfers from Kyoto Station to Sanjo Station which would be our home base for the rest of the trip. We arrived around 3pm just in time for check-in and got to enjoy the fantastic top floor suite(including an amazing wet room with incredible water pressure to rinse off all the sweat of the day) of Rinn Gion Shirawara before the rest of the crew arrived.
